What is the Glycemic Index?  Essentially the Glycemic Index is a rating system that tells you how much each food impacts your blood sugar.  Typically 0-55 is considered low, 56-69 Medium, and 70 and above high.  The higher the number, the more sugar in your blood, the more insulin released, the more negative consequences from that insulin like fat storage and  health complications.
